PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains what information Far South Espresso Pty Ltd (ABN 46 687 076 473) collects through this website, what I do with it, and how you can get in touch about it.

What I collect

When you fill in the booking form, I collect your name, phone number, email address, and anything you tell me about your machine and where it is. If you upload photos of your machine, I collect those too.

When you call or email me, I keep your contact details and the details of the job.

When you visit the website, some information is collected automatically. This includes the pages you look at, roughly where you're browsing from (based on your IP address), and the type of device and browser you're using. This comes through cookies, explained below.

I don't take payments through this website, and you don't need an account to use it.

Why I collect it

I use your information to:

  • get back to you about your enquiry

  • work out what your machine needs and whether I need to order parts before I come

  • book in, carry out and invoice the job

  • keep a service history for your machine

  • understand how people use the website, so I can improve it

I won't use your details to send you marketing, and I don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who else sees it

I only share your information where it's needed to run the business:

  • Squarespace hosts this website and stores form submissions.

  • Google provides the spam protection on the booking form (reCAPTCHA) and the website statistics (Google Analytics).

  • My accountant, or other advisers, where needed to keep the business's records.

  • Anyone the law requires me to share it with.

Squarespace and Google store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. They handle it under their own privacy policies.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Some are needed for the site to work. Others, from Google Analytics, tell me how the site is being used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How long I keep it

I keep your information for as long as I need it to do the job and look after your machine, and for as long as the law requires me to keep business records (generally five years for tax purposes). After that, it's deleted.

Keeping it secure

Your information is stored in password-protected accounts (Squarespace and email), and only I have access to it. No system is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you give me.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Get in touch using the details below and I'll respond within 30 days.
